Volunteering with IOTA

  • Network with practitioners state-wide: Learning from other practitioners has numerous benefits. We share cultural experiences of how to apply the framework of occupational performance in numerous areas such as inner city, small town, or rural areas of our state.
  • Earn CEUs for licensure: Being a District Director, holding an office, or committee chair can qualify as professional development that you earn toward renewing your state license.
  • Have a voice: IOTA officers, District Directors and committee chairpersons are asked for giving input to legislative decisions that impact day-to-day therapy through the updating of the scope of practice.

How to volunteer:

  •  Join a committee, as listed on the left or contact IOTA
  • Testify or contact your legislators
  • Present at a District Meeting
